and the

Unbelievably Profane

Lots 1-9

Lot 8: A Baggie Holding the Soul of Clarence Willers

Lot 7: The Ostracon Used to Strike a Fatal Blow on Hypatia.

Provenance of these artifacts might be traced to heresiarchs; this has no bearing on authenticity.

Piermont & Thorne’s The Sacred and the Unbelievably Profane features nine extraordinary artifacts minted on the blockchain. This is the first set in a series of three. The second and third sets will have six and three artifacts, respectively, for a total of eighteen objects in the entire collection. Befitting their status, every artifact is kept in an appropriate manner: the Mummified Head of Saint Denis (as one example) is placed in an east-facing window every morning so that it may enjoy God’s glorification of the sunrise. We have not received any instructions on what to do with the Placenta of Christ the Lord, so we sometimes leave it in front of Seinfeld reruns.

Preliminary research reveals possible connections between certain artifacts in this collection and certain Boxes in our other auction, detailed in the translated notes of the Fourth Hermitical Congress and in Julius Barlach’s Urkunden zur Geschichte der Zahirsage. Additional information will be updated once confirmed.
